Release date : 11 February 2013

Mastering : Fred Angström

My bare-skin Balearic brethren left stranded in a supermarket with personnel from the The Arrowhead Project and zealots reciting passages from the Second Epistle of Peter and the Revelation of St John, I beg you … do not despair. It may sound hackneyed and bland, but with Sun Papa you can expect the unexpected. We’ll give you one clue : most things find their origin in some new synthetic plastic miracle. But rest assured, “Brume” will offer you the club culture without the club and some avant-garde without the mental masturbation. It bears the unmistakable stigmata of that euphoric appeal that characterizes authentic fan appreciation, unburdened by pedantic clichés or stylistic references, probing ceaselessly for unexplored turns at an incredible speed. But you’re right, she’s gone, and I’m left, unabashed, laconic, and with plenty of tape delay. Am I dreaming or am I awake?

Tracklist :

A1 Karate
A2 Mitamura Kandadan - ヤマヤマ (Sun Papa & Lawrence Le Doux Mix)
A3 Coca-Cola Horizon

B1 Pepper Steak
B2 Pepper Steak 2
B3 Inti-Mujus

“Sun Papa & Lawrence Le Doux” is a tokusatsu superhero TV series from the 1980s. The series was produced by Nippon Gendai and Tsuburaya Productions, and aired on Tokyo Broadcasting System from October 8, 1982 to April 8, 1983, with a total of 26 episodes. Based on a script by Hiraoka Kimitake for Kaiju Theatre Company, and initially planned as a one-time sequel to the critically-acclaimed “The Insect Humanoid Masquerades as a Woman”, the subsequent success of the premiere led to its adaptation as a full-fledged TV series.

Set in present-day Luxembourg, an evil alien race simply known as “The Others” is plotting to take over the Earth, using an assortment of daikaiju and other fiendish means. Professor Sun Papa, a semi-retired musical dilettante from The Fan Club Orchestra, is assigned by the intergalactic authorities to investigate the threat. He discovers that when he eats Herve cheese his alter-super-ego Lawrence Le Doux [played by Angelo Maggio] jumps out from his head, fully grown and clad in armour More significantly, Lawrence Le Doux has the ability to grow to immense heights - when coming in contact with water - to fight giant monsters.

Lawrence Le Doux has a vast array of super-powers at his disposal to fight “The Others”, including a sword that extends from his groin, missiles, and laser beams. He can also behead enemies with a single kick or change his body into a multiple-slicing machine/blender. In later episodes Sun Papa sometimes summons a giant cyborg vehicle called “Mouche Man” as back-up [upon formulating the command "Mouche-Fight Two Dash!!!"]. It has a red and silver pattern and a light on its belt that blinks when it’s running out of power.

On November 6, 2009, BCI Eclipse released the complete series on DVD in Region 1.

People are sheep. That’s why they’re always looking for a shepherd. That’s why they walk in line, rank and file, hook, line and sinker. They’re not looking for choice; they’re looking for comfort.

Some like to get their egons fisked. Personally I find it to be an uncomfortable - and messy - affair. But then again, I always thought “A Love Supreme” was a type of casserole.

When the aforementioned shepherd decides to team up with your local egon fisker, things can get a little hairy. Ricky Sunset and Bobby Magnet do their best to prove just that. Someone told me that they tend to attract leeches. I disagree. “Dogs don’t breed cats” my granny always said. They claim they’re going to live forever - or die tryin’. I don’t believe them.

Title : Release The Gimp
Code : TH!N21
Format : 12″ EP
Release date : 17 December 2012
Artwork : Joost Jansen + GMTM
Mastering : Pete Concrete

Spongemagnet’s debut EP raises a few questions. To begin with, its title: is it a commendable recommendation to let your inner gimp come out of the closet? Or is it the expression of a more Judaeo-Christian approach to the matter: “hate the gimping, but love the gimp”? The titles of the tracks are also subject to debate. “Bum Damage” sounds like something one might wake up to after a night of heavy drinking and insufficient amyl nitrite consumption. “Poon Quiver” refers to the shaking motion sometimes exhibited by female genitalia when reaching climax during some form of sexual activity. I’m not quite sure who the narrator of “Gimp Bisquit” is: the “gimper” or the “gimpee”? And is the “bisquit” of the gimp or for the gimp? As for “Plutonium Catwrap”, I would prefer abstaining from any attempt at explaining what it might mean in this chemically-preserved, plastic-wrapped world (but it sounds undeniably dirty). Now I don’t know about you, but I see a definite trend appearing. Bromance gone wrong.

Tracklist :

A1 Bum Damage
A2 Poon Quiver

Title : Quartz
Code : TH!N22
Format : 12″ EP
Release date : 22 October 2012
Design : Cosmokidz Interstellart

Quartzes are piezoelectric. That means that they produce electricity when undergoing a mechanical stress. This seems an appropriate definition in relation to the work that we do here at Thin Consolation: the ancient craft of excavating and polishing uncut stones and making them transmit electricity. This is most probably a relic of more glorious times when our ancestors made a living digging through the dirt in search of coal. This particular quartz is the work of Richard Colvaen, a prolific Wallifornian beat-maker, who took his first steps as a member of the romantically inclined Fist Fucking Crew - whose only album leaves nasty stains under the nails - and later as part of the indigenous supergroup Bretzel Zoo. He’s also guilty of collaborating with the likes of Herrmutt Lobby [once again here on the final track "Colvak"], Gajah Polymorpheous, Non from Shadow Huntaz, and Dynooo.

Tracklist :

A1 No More
A2 Blue Screen
A3 La Pie

B1 Stunt Wall Crash
B2 Patience
B3 Colvak (feat. Herrmutt Lobby)

Shaken awake by a hand that recedes to reveal a mouth that demands: “Who’ll take the blame for Richard Colvaen, the man who knows no sweat of shame?” To seem long a life must be filled with unpleasant surprises, is a thought that arises, as twelve fingers so nimble they nibble my nipple. “Try not to strain or be boasting a sprain, when I bring down that cane!” “Just making my way up the food chain, and yes, still trying to fuck Lorraine.” Together alone in a ponderous primitive lull, everything green looks black, and everything else is imbued with the colour of pus: one more shrine in paperback. Unimpressed, I confess to enjoy the caress of the hand that throttles my throat. “I said it before and I’ll say it again: don’t take the name of the man in vaen!”

Now personally I’ve always been more wakamezake than nyotaimori, but Antonin here seems to have a preference for yeast. Yes, you read that correctly, yeast. He’s very, very proud of the fact that he makes his own bread, with his wee little hands, and insists on serving it to us at any possible occasion. Not surprisingly, he also concocts his films like children’s witches’ brew, kneading together whatever’s in reach: last week’s leftovers, questionable liquids, body fragments, an assortment of trinkets, rope and or hair. The final result, although by all means inedible, has a quality both epileptic and appeased; that fragment of a moment when Parkinson’s patients shake still; a frantic, immobile effort, beating an almost flat time.

Code: TH!N19
Format: MP3 Album
Mastering: Herrmutt Lobby
Design: Rawakari

@lbnhrx has decided to tackle the topic of #hair head on with his first opus: “Tales From The #Moustache”. I find the subject an interesting one, as it’s rather exemplary of our day and age, and an already widely debated issue among many of my generation: the growing trend towards the eradication of all bodily #hair. It’s true - we live in a #balding @world.

I personally have always felt ill at ease when confronted with a #hairless @cunt. Although a #bald @pussy may be more practical when indulging in #cunnilingus, I find the presence of an even merely symbolic amount of pubic hair on a woman more becoming. It connotes sexual maturity, and - hopefully - with this maturity comes experience and a better understanding of the proper functioning of the chosen sexual partner. I’ve always assumed this to be beneficial to all persons involved. Partisans of the #shaved @box approach propose aesthetic arguments to defend their position, but that kind of argument really just puts an end to any form of discussion whatsoever.

Perhaps it’s generational. I grew up thumbing magazines - which you must admit is a more of a feat with one hand than clicking on a mouse - in which women were naturally “endowed”. Now one has to go to the “fetish” section to find women with pubic hair, somewhere between #GILFs and #lactating #midgets, confined to a niche category, when they’re initially a common denominator. If you’re looking for a #lactating #midget WITH a #hairy #pussy, it’s practically an impossible request, cross-niche pollination obviously being “haram” in the pornographic realm, or limited to intrepid adventurers.

In most times and most places, facial hair - on a man - and pubic hair - in general - were symbols of adulthood and sexual maturity and worn proudly. Today we see a general trend towards hairless bodies. If not you can’t really aspire to being one of the “beautiful people”, and will be restricted to a specialised sub-category [and if you're lucky represented by a mono-thematic "defence" group].

I’ve always hated the term “beautiful people”. People aren’t #beautiful; at best they’re #attractive. People are generally #ugly, and life isn’t exactly a walk in the @park. I’d be worried if my life could be summarized by the calculated #disorder with which I align my #fashion magazines on my #designer coffee table. I actually like the fact that my #shit stinks.

Tracklist

lbnhrx is a 31 year old Capricorn, one meter fifty six, blonde hair, brown eyes, a moustache and a strong, athletic body. He likes to read, or purposelessly lie on a rug, and his friends describe him as “a closet romantic”. He also likes movies with Gene Hackmann and Bicky-flavoured crisps. lbnhrx is looking for someone like-minded [preferably of the large-breasted persuasion] to go for long walks in the woods, or just sit on the sand watching sunsets, and more … if things “click”. lbnhrx has emphysema, chlamydia, and a pet turtle called Hal.

If you’re interested in having a private video session with lbnhrx, please click on the link below to view his wish list. Select what gift to make him, then choose your preferred method of payment: we accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal here at UNREzT. Once you’ve paid for your gift, a pop-up screen will appear, linking you directly to lbnhrx, for a private one-on-one session !

Title : Throat Meat
Format : 12” EP

No longer Belgium’s best-kept secret, Franz is a prolific beat-maker, baking his beats by the dozen, under an assortment of aliases : as Kingfisherg [on Carte Postale and Wigflip], Ssaliva [on Surf Kill or Leaving Records], Sineshine [on Plynt], or here [or on Surf Kill or Vlek] as Cupp Cave. He’s also a member of Bretzel Zoo [on Eat Concrete] and one half of Salted Slugs - the other half being Dynooo, with whom he also runs Surf Kill. His “Garbage Pail Beats”, released on Thin Consolation in 2008, were a “rump-shaking, head-nodding, feet-shuffling slap in the face”. But that chip has sailed, and this is the long-awaited follow-up EP. Once again : “Think nice crunchy gravel.”
