Do-Re-Mi is a song from the musical The Sound of Music by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II premiered in 1959 .
The song serves to Maria to teach the musical notes of the major way children Von Trapp who learn to sing for the first time. Each syllable of the system of solfeggio appears in the lyrics of the song. Rodgers was helped in his creation by the arranger Trude Rittmann (en) who designed the vocal sequence of the song.
