Sound of da Police is the second and last single from the first solo album of the American rapper KRS-One , Return of the Boom Bap (1993). It is broadcast as a single with opposite BHip-Hop Vs. Rap . The song is produced by Showbiz from DITC .
The song begins with KRS-One singing a police siren (the “police sound” ) and the sound is repeated several times throughout the song. The sample is repeated in many other works 1 . In France, for example, the proximity between the title of the song and the term “murderers of the police” creates a spell of auditory illusion popularized by the DJ Cut Killer in the title La Haine (1996) 1 , 2 .
The song was used in the trailer of Top Cops (2010), the movie Angry Birds, the movie (2009) and the credits of Test 2 (2016). She is present in the video game Battlefield Hardline .
